The final dates for the Kenyan Premier League Top 8 Cup are now all confirmed.

Initially set for Sunday 1 April but postponed after Gor Mahia were banned from using Sports Stadia Management Board (SSMB) facilities (Nyayo Stadium and Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani), the fourth and final quarter final against AFC Leopards is now set for Sunday 29 July 2012.

Semi-final first leg

The winner from the Leopards – Gor Mahia tie will book Tusker in the two legged semis where the first leg will be played on Thursday 2 August 2012 and the second leg a week later – on Thursday 9 August.

Sony Sugar and defending Top 8 Champions Ulinzi Stars who booked their places in the semis with wins over Sofapaka on 14 March and Chemelil Sugar on 21 March respectively will meet on Wednesday 1 August in a semi-final first leg.

Prize money of Kshs 1 million

A week later – on Wednesday 8 August, the two teams will meet in the second leg semi tie.

The aggregate winners from the semis finals will meet in the final to be played on Sunday 19 August where the prize money of Kshs 1 million will be contested.

All the games will be played at the Nyayo National Stadium except for the Leopards – Gor Mahia tie that will be played at Kasarani.

Sail through

In the event that Leopards sail through, the semi between Tusker – Leopards will be at Nyayo but should Gor sail through, the Tusker – Gor tie will head to Kasarani.

The SSMB is yet to lift Gor Mahia’s ban on the use of Nyayo National Stadium.
