Chemelil’s Team Manager Samuel Ndung'u says that even though they wanted a clear win in Monday’s match against Gor Mahia, they are still content with the one point collected on the day.

-It was an away match and a draw is much better than a loss, he told

-I did not travel with team but I suspect that the absence of fullback Abbas Kiwaalabye (who was down with malaria) might have caused some slight weakening of the team.

Ndung’u also confirmed that the team will be leaving Nakuru, early Tuesday morning and are expected at home by 1400hrs.

-We are set to kick off training on Wednesday morning and we can only spare the team a few hours rest after their journey from Nakuru.

The team is now ranked fifth in the league standings and has 38 points. It is set to play a rescheduled match with Ulinzi Stars on 2 November, but Ndung'u and other team officials have insisted that they will not honour the tie on account of perceived biasness in favour of the Nakuru side.
