Kisumu Youth Olympic Centre have rebranded and will now be known as Field
Negreos, head coach Ambrose Otumba has said.
The Kisumu-based side changed the name at the beginning of
the second leg of the FKF Division One Zone B Group 2.
-We will now be known as the Field Negroes, meaning The
Blacks in the old American slang. We decided to change the name because we have

When asked whether the change in name was behind their
recent change in form where they have registered two successive wins in their
opening two matches of the second leg, Otumba joked that names have powers but
added that the team had been preparing well for the second leg during the
