Celtic, Rangers, Hearts crash out of Europa

There will be no East African representative at the Europa League as Victor Wanyama’s Celtic lost 3-1 to FC Sion and David Obua’s Hearts who suffered a 5-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspurs went on to settle for a barren draw at the White Hart Lane

The current Scottish Champions, Rangers drew 1-1 with Maribor to lose 3-2 on aggregate.

Wanyama was not in the squad that faced FC Sion and did not even make the bench. Some of the teams that qualified for the Europa League include: Wis?a Kraków, Maccabi Haifa FC, Malmö FF, Odense BK, FC Zürich, Udinese Calcio, FC Twente, FC København, SK Sturm Graz, FC Rubin Kazan, Tottenham Hotspur FC, Club Atlético de Madrid, S.S. Lazio and Paris Saint-Germain FC.

The Draw will take place today (26th August, 2011)
