Celtic FC’s Chief Executive Peter Lawwell is looking forward to making great returns in his side’s Champions League showing.

Ladwell hopes to use the income from the tournament (estimated to be in the region of 30 million pounds-approx. KSh3.3 billion) to boost the team’s bid to retain instrumental players Gary Hooper and Victor Wanyama.

Wanyama is one of primary targets of English Premier League side Manchester United, ahead of the January transfer window, while Hooper is in the radar of Juventus among other teams.

However, Lawwell says that he is not concerned about Wanyama’s exit as much as he is of Hooper’s, noting that Wanyama still has a contract to run-out.

-Victor still has two-and-a-half years to go, so we are more relaxed on that than we are with Gary. But we are relaxed with both - we still have them for a period of time, Lawwell told the Daily Mail.

Celtic will be playing Juventus in their next Champions League match, slated for Saturday 2 February 2013.
