Beginning today, Kenya will know the ruling from the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) from a case in which the Kenya Football Federation (KFF) sued World ruling body FIFA (CAS 2008/O/1808/KFF vs Fifa) for recognizing Football Kenya Limited (FKL), a private company to run football in Kenya from late 2008.

Preliminary hearing on the case began on Wed, 16th December 2009 in Lausanne, Switzerland. Today is the day four KFF members; Sam Nyamweya - Chairman, Lodvick Omondi Aduda -Secretary General, Twaha Mbarak - National Executive Committee member and Charles Ouma – a Lawyer are expected to give oral evidence in defense of their case.

The ruling is then expected to be known almost immediately and Kenyans will eagerly await the verdict needing to know if Football Kenya Limited (FKL) will continue to run Kenyan football or if the mandate will return to KFF.
