Wilfred Bony is set
for a deadline day move away from Manchester City and his most
likely destination is looking like Stoke City.
The Ivory Coast international has continually being linked away from the
Etihad where Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho has risen above him on the
pecking order of strikers under Pep Guardioala.
Though initial reports suggest that West Ham were keen on signing the
striker earlier in August, it appears that Stoke City have jumped to pole
position as reported by Sky Sports.
Bony himself have served a big hint that he is nearer to an exit from
Etihad, he tweeted:
-It’s a new day & I look forward to a new exciting challenge.
Sky sources understand the former Swansea man has been spotted at Stoke’s
training ground on Wednesday morning, but it is not yet clear whether any
potential deal will be a loan or a permanent move.
