Former Sofapaka coach Ezekiel Akwana is on the verge of joining Rangers FC after the exit of David Ouma who signed two year contract deal with the 2009 KPL champions.

Akwana was replaced by Francis Kimanzi as Sofapaka’s coach mid-2011 before moving to a lower side Huruma Youth FC.

According to former Sofapaka’s FC team manager Ben Matindi, both of them are still discussing with Rangers officials over a possible move to fill the technical bench void.

-I am currently negotiating with Rangers officials and I think before the end of the week, things will be clear, Matindi told futaa.com.

-Akwana is also on the trail and there is a probability he’ll sign as the coach if they agree on terms, he revealed.
