Embattled Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reportedly been offered a two-year contract to replace Unai Emery as manager of Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

“Le Professeur” has been handed a lifeline, and the man responsible for the vote of confidence in the 67-year-old, is PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who believes that the Frenchman can redeem the reputation of PSG, who have had a disappointing season under Emery, evidenced by their epic loss to Barcelona in what is arguably the greatest upset in football history.

Wenger is scheduled to meet the Gunners’ top brass in a few days to discuss his future with the club, as the international break is finally here and he was scheduled to meet them then. The under-fire manager was given an end-of-April deadline to make up his mind on whether he would extend his stay at the club or opt to leave.

To many, this is a no-brainer as the Frenchman will have the opportunity to coach a top-tier team in his native land, away from the toxic and negative environment that his critics have created at the Emirates Stadium.
