Zokora set to pack it in

Ivory Coast veteran midfielder Didier Zokora feels that he has done his part for his country in an international career spanning ten years with the Elephants and is ready to down his tools.

The midfielder said he feels his generation that includes close team mates like Didier Drogba, Kolo Toure and Siaka Tiene are eager to end their draught for the African title.

Paving way for junior Ivorians

The Turkey based midfielder with Trabzonspor added that there has been unity and much needed co-operation and team-work in the current squad and this has given the side encouragement and belief.

Coach Francois Zahoui’s new style and methods to the squad is well adopted by the team as cohesion among the 23 qualified players is set to propel them to greater heights.

Zakora yearns for the tourney Championship which is long overdue in Ivory Coast and he promises that should it happen, he’s good to go, paving way for young  Elephants to carry on with the great foundation set.
