Zico rules out revenge

Zedekiah Otieno

Former Gor Mahia coach Zedekiah Zico Otieno, currently at SoNy Sugar FC has ruled out a revenge mission as he prepares his charges to face off with Gor Mahia on Sunday 9 September at the Nairobi City Stadium.

Bitter exit

Zico had a bitter exit at Gor Mahia one year ago today at the same venue after defeat by Congo United inflicted by Rama Salim, who coincidentally is in the Gor Mahia line up but the coach, speaking ahead of the game said his players and himself will just focus on doing the job at hand.

-I am not eyeing revenge of any kind here. I had my time with Gor Mahia and whatever I did with them I am now trying with SoNy Sugar so revenge is not on my mind.

Players too

-My players too, are professional and know what is expected of them here. They will just be doing the job for SoNy and I don’t think they will have anything else on their minds. I know they will play well, he said.

Zico will be lining up at least three players who left Gor Mahia to join the 2006 Tusker Premier League (TPL) champions.
