Moroccoan club Wydad Casablanca on Sunday October 17 2011 qualified for the CAF Champions league finals after settling for a barren draw with Nigerian club Enyimba FC.

Wydad were however rescued by their one nil advantage in the first leg of the semifinals played two weeks before to comfortably sail to the finals of the continental event.

To face fellow North Africans

They will now face Tunisian side Esperance in the finals of the much sort after tournament. Esperance had earlier seen off Al – Hilal of Sudan on an aggregate score of 3-0.

According to cafonline.com, Enyimba however played well with the players showing signs of brilliance especially in the second half. They however failed to convert the chances to goals.

Their golden chance came in the 77th minute after defender Valentine Nwabili wasted it leaving the game to end in a barren draw.

Wydad will be back into the finals after nineteen years out of the scene which is a great achievement for the club as they aim at bouncing back to become African Champions.
