Wesa welcomes Homeboyz

Western Stima captain George Wesa believes Tusker Premier League (TPL) bound Kakamega Homeboyz will bring welcome competition in the Kenyan top flight once the FKF Division One Zone B side seals promotion.

The Kakamega side is top of the 20 – team log with 84 points out of 35 matches, they need just four points to seal a premier league debut and Wesa believes there is no way they can let it slip off their grip.

Deserved

Speaking to futaa.com, Wesa affirmed that Homeboyz deserve all the best as they have worked hard since their days in the third tier league last season and is already looking forward to the Kakamega derby.

-For sure they will get promoted; where they are now and where they came from since last year I don’t see how they can miss this and I am looking forward to their stint in the premier league. They are a quality side and I am sure they will inject some good competition in the league.

Derby

-It will also be good for Kakamega to have two teams in the league, I can’t wait for the Kakamega derby – it will really be interesting, he said.

Homeboyz still have to play West Kenya Sugar, Rush FC and Finlays Horticulture before they wrap up their second tier experience.
