Wesa: Stima strike force has to improve

Western Stima captain George Wesa believes that his team will have to improve their record in front of goal to get back to winning ways.

Stima have not won in four games, the latest being a 2-1 home loss to Ulinzi stars on Sunday 15th May 2011. The Stima captain feels that his strikers have a big say in that poor record.

-We have simply not scored enough goals to be at the top reaches of the table. We have a good defence and midfield but upfront has been a problem for us this season, he told kenyanfootie.com.

Talking to

The power men had a meeting today (18th May 2011) morning after training to discuss the recent drought in form and the former Tusker FC player is happy that all has been aired in the meeting.

-We had a team talk after training today, where we spoke about various things affecting us, including the goal scoring department which has been poor. The players were open to everything that was said in the meeting and I believe we will be improving in that area in the near future, he added,

Western Stima have scored only seven goals in the Kenyan Premier League in 2011 season so far. Their record is the third worst in the league, only better than relegation threatened Karuturi sports and City stars FC.
