Were loaned to Ingwe

Paul Were
Harambee stars winger Paul Maldini Were has joined AFC Leopards on a one year loan from FISA Academy.

One year

FISA head coach Charles Korea Omondi has revealed this to futaa.com and wished the player all the best in his new club.

-Were will play for AFC Leopards in the 2nd leg of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL). We (FISA officials) had a final meeting yesterday and agreed to loan the player to them for one year.

Revelation

The winger has been a revelation for the reigning Kenyan Premier League Champions Tusker FC since joining them on loan from FISA in 2010.

His contract with the Brewers expired on Thursday 31 May 2012 and the team was willing to extend it and even promised the winger an improved offer but Ingwe has finally won the battle for the player’s services.

FISA Academy has cut a niche for itself as being a leading feeder to KPL clubs. Gor Mahia’s trio of Musa Mohammed, Kevin Omondi and Ibrahim Kitawi are also on-loan from the talent hub.
