ArsenalEnglish Premier League (EPL) giants Arsenal have lately been hit by a virus that has seen a number of key players miss action and the manager Arsene Wenger is considering banning handshakes among players to curb the spread.
Taking no chances
The Frenchman has had German defender Per Metersacker as the latest casualty, sitting out the midweek Champions League win over Olympiacos and after Theo Walcott, Francis Coquelin and Thomas Vermaelen suffering the same, Wenger is taking no chances.
-We have improved the level of hygiene in the dressing room, we clean everything. It is funny, but shaking hands is one of the biggest things to spread a virus, he told soccernet.espn.go.com.
-I shake hands with everybody, but we are advised not to do it when there is a high level of risk, he added.
