Tusker survived narrowly against their weekend league
opponents Muhoroni Youth at the MISC Kasarani escaping with a 1-0 win courtesy of David Ochieng's deflected shot in the second half.
The defending champions wasted hosts of chances in the match
and were almost forced to pay in the final minutes of the match through Collins
Netto.
The match was however in Tusker FC for the better part of the match but they wasted most of their chanced with their strikers turning wasteful in both halves with Dennis Mukaisi and Joseph Emeka being the major culprits.
The Brewers skipper Joseph Shikokoti however was also guilty of almost giving away the match at Kasarani failing to head on two consecutive occasions on either half.
Tusker started attacking early in the match however but they were denied by resillient Muhoroni defenders forcing them into corner which Muhoroni skipper Harry Gentle cleared from the line.
Muhoroni then managed to stabilize the game as they settled in and almost assured themselves of a point in the match.

The second half was nail-biting encounter as the visitors staged a strong show only be forced back to their half by fierce attacks from Tusker. The Brewers got their lucky moment in the 81st minute from another Patrick Kagogo corner heading in from close range to ensure a point for Tusker FC.
Collins Netto should have snatched a point for Muhoroni Youth in the dying minutes of the match but was denied by the upright from a hard shot from outside the box.
