Kenyan international midfielder Victor Wanyama scored a brace on Saturday 20 October for Celtic in their match against St. Mirren in the Scottish Premier League (SPL) as the defending champions registered a 5 – 0 win.
Four goals
The brace, the first a half volley from the edge of the box and a delightful long range strike were the Kenyan’s third and fourth goals of the season for Celtic and he surpassed Kris Commons and Gary Hooper who have three goals apiece.
Wanyama is fifth on the SPL top scorers list after nine matches in the season; the league’s top scorer is Hibernian’s Leigh Griffiths who is at a tie with Michael Higdon of Motherwell with seven goals each.
Hibernian has played ten matches while Motherwell has played eight.
