Kenyan midfielder Victor Mugabe Wanyama has rejected a new offer tabled on Thursday 25 October 2012 by Scottish Champions Celtic.
Commitment cannot be questioned
According to his agent Rob Moore, the new offer ‘fell short of expectations’
-Victor has informed Celtic the contract offer fell short of his expectations, said Rob to STV
-There were a number of aspects that fell short - he turned it down.
-He is very happy with the job he is doing at the moment. He is a great professional and his commitment cannot be questioned.
-But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that he lost great earning potential in the summer.
Wanyama, joined Celtic mid 2011 and is under contract till 2015. His profile has however risen over time and speculation was rife in the summer that he’d step out of Scotland to the English Premier League.
Details of the new offer are however not known – as yet.
