Wanyama deserves new Celtic deal

Celtic have yet to offer midfielder Wanyama, who has been linked with a move to the English Premier League, a new contract, Moore admits.

He however believes that his client should be atleast offered something to show for the impact he has made in his two seasons at the club.

Progress

- Obviously given his progress and his standing within Scottish football, we would expect that to be recognized, he told ESPN.

-  He has established himself as one of the best young midfielders in Europe and an improved deal would be about recognizing his progress, off a low base, and then rewarding him accordingly.

- I believe that Celtic would look for a substantial transfer fee for him therefore it would only be right that they follow that up with improving his current deal accordingly.

Wanyama was linked with many clubs over the duration of the summer transfer window, but he eventually stayed put at the hoops and has so far been one of their best players.
