Wanga soon to kick off league agenda

Former Lolwe FC and Tusker FC striker Allan Wanga is soon to feature in his second straight season in the Vietnamese V-league that rolls off at the eve of the year 2012.

Wanga who also turned out for Angola’s Petro de Luanda [Atletico] as well as FC Baku of Azerbaijan will be leading his club Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) when the club takes on Khanh Hoa on Hai Phong on Saturday 31 December 2011.

The HAGL tie as well as another between Binh Duong and Kien Giang will usher in the new 2012 season league that will be made up of 14 teams.

The first round of games in the new season will conclude on Sunday 1 January 2012 when another five games are played across different venues.

Wanga joined HAGL in the V-League in December 2010 on an initial two year deal which he has since extended by another year,

At the close of the season, Wanga netted six times from 24 games to lead his side to a ninth place finish.
