Harambee Stars head coach Henri Michel has trimmed down his local based squad to 15 players ahead of their next week's international friendly match against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, at Nyayo National Stadium.
Western Stima's prolific striker Wesley Kemboi and Mathare United's Andrew Tololwa are the surprise inclusion in the squad that is highly dominated by Gor Mahia players.
AFC Leopards duo Allan Wanga and Mike Barasa have been dropped as well as Ulinzi Stars' burly striker Wycliffe Ochomo and his Gor counterpart Rama Salim.
Squad: Fredrick Onyango, Chritopher Wekesa, Antony Akumu, Donald Mosoti (Gor Mahia), Jacktone Odhiambo, Godfrey Kokoyo, Mulinge Ndetto (Ulinzi Stars), Osborn Monday, James Situma, Eugine Asike ( Sofapaka), Francis Kahata (Thika United), Wesley Kemboi (Western Stima), Andrew Tololwa (Mathare Utd), Peter Opiyo (Tusker), Edwin Wafula ( AFC Leopards).
Dropped players: Boniface Oluoch (Tusker), Duncan Ochieng, George Owino, Bob Mugalia, Humphrey Mieno (All Sofapaka), Moses Odhiambo, Rama Salim, Solomon Nasio (All Gor Mahia), Mike Barasa, Charles Okwemba, Allan Wanga (All AFC Leopards), Wycliffe Ochomo (Ulinzi Stars), Enock Agwanda (SoNy Sugar), Moses Arita, John Nairuka (Both Thika United).
The team which is expected to resume training today (Monday 8 October), at Nyayo National Stadium will be joined later by nine foreign-based players.
