Wadda: Stars in the right direction

City Stars

Despite registering their second win of the second leg in the Sunday 21 October tie against KCB in the Tusker Premier League (TPL), Nairobi City Stars is still harbouring relegation concerns.

Survival guarantee

Coach Bye Wadda, however, believes the team is headed in the right direction and after favourable results on the weekend of the 27th round of matches, he says with three points in the remaining three games survival will be guaranteed.

-Mathematically we are not yet safe but we are heading in the right direction – this weekend for example, we won our game and everyone else below us lost while at the same time we rose a place higher.

Confidence

-That gives the players confidence and I am also assured that we will survive. We just have to pick three points from the remaining matches and it will be important because keeping the team in the top flight was among my ambitions when I was given the job, he told futaa.com.

City Stars is in 13th place with 27 points after 27 matches.
