Ulinzi tops the booking list

Ulinzi Stars tops the list of bookings in the first half of the Kenya Premier League. According to the list produced by the local governing body FKL, Ulinzi accumulated 34 cards two of which are red cards.

The soldiers have however been on the roll in the last few matches despite their poor start of the season. They started as the champions with the local and the champions’ league trophies to chase. They were however bundled out of continental football by Zamalek from Egypt after going down 4-0 at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Poor start

The team start was also on a losing streak in the Premier League and having lost several of their initial matches. They however managed to pick themselves and drastically gained form towards the end of the first leg of the season.

Speaking to kenyanfootie, several of their players among them the captain Steve Ocholla and Steve Waruru have confirmed that clubs intentions to retain the League this season.

The military men face flower men Karuturi Sports at home in the Afraha Stadium on Saturday 18th June 2011 in a Premier League game.


They are also yet to announce any signings even after indications that their defender Collins Kisuya and Striker Mike Barasa could be headed to other clubs in the mid-season transfer period.
