Ulinzi players in military camp set to rejoin team

Six Ulinzi players currently undergoing military training will rejoin the team in February.

The sextet comprises Hassan Rio Mohammed, Amon Mwamburi, Kelvin Amwayi, Fred Chitayi and Antony Mureithi. 

 The plan was confirmed by the club’s Chairman Lt. Col Juma Shee Mwinyikai, who speaking to Futaa.com, said they will come in to play a critical role in the team’s league bid.


-The six will be done with their (military) training and should be back with the team by the end of February, just after the season begins, said Mwinyikai.

Younger players

Mwamburi and Mohammed joined Ulinzi at the beginning of the last season, from Congo United, while Amwayi crossed over from Western Stima.

Mureithi rose from the junior ranks of the nakuru-based side at the beginning of the 2012 season, from and Chitayi was recently acquired from Thika United.
