Ulinzi have short and long-term goals

Rio, amwoka

As a new season begins, former Tusker Premier League Champions Ulinzi Stars have set a number of goals, which according to the club’s Chairman Juma Shee Mwinyikai are classified into short-term and long-term.

The short-term goals include winning all three titles available for the year, while the among the long-term goals is to set up a junior team.

Achievements

The team has undergone structural adjustments to make it a success. We now have a fully-fledged secretariat and we recently hired a professional coach.

-On our short-term goals is the desire to challenge for the 2013 KPL, Top Eight tournament and the FKF Cup.

Long term

-As far as our long-term goals are concerned, the team is in the process of setting up a feeder team to compete in the KPL (Kenyan Premier League) under-19 league. This is through a network of coaches we have set up countrywide to pick talent.

Standings

Ulinzi finished the 2012 season ranked sixth in the country’s first tier league.
