Manchester United completed a stunning comeback as they defeated Elderson Echiejile's Braga 3-2 in a well contested UEFA Champions League Group game at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
United joined Arsenal as the only teams in Champions League history to win twice, after trailing by two goals. Arsenal are the other team. They beat Standard Liege 2-3 in September 2009 and Shakhtar Donetsk 3-2 in September 2000.
And that meant heartache for Nigerian defender, Uwa Elderson Echiejile.
Braga had started the game the brighter of the two sides, as the Portuguese side took the lead after just two minutes through Alan Osorio Silva.
Shocked
The shocked Old Trafford side would watch in stunned silence, as Braga scored a second 18 minutes later, as Alan was on hand to tap in second, after Michael Carrick had been embarassed on the right. But Braga will not score again, as United showed why they are one of the most feared teams in Europe.
Javier Hernandez, ensured that the home side will have some comfort at half time, when he pulled one back for United after 25 minutes, and he will score the winner in the 75th minute, after Johnny Evans had drawn United level on 62 minutes, to complete a night of misery for two Nigerian defenders
