The Kenya U20 national side team manager Hillary Musundi has confirmed three new players have been added to the squad in preparation for the second round, second leg tie against Egypt in the African Youth Championship qualifiers.
Trio called
Musundi, speaking to futaa.com, said Tusker FC defender Charles Odette, Gor Mahia forward Edwin Lavatsa and Homeboyz ace Ronald Omino had been called up and are impressive in training.
He, however, revealed that Kassim Mohamed has not yet rejoined the team as per media reports since the youngster still has to clear with the federation after leaving camp without permission when the team was preparing for the first leg of the tie.
Handled by the federation
-We have called up Odette, Lavatsa and Omino to team up with the others as they prepare for the return tie on Saturday and so far they are all doing fine. Kassim is not with us as yet as his situation is being handled by the federation and they are yet to inform us if he is cleared.
-If they clear with him we will welcome him back and give him a chance, Musundi said.
The team started training on Tuesday for the match which will be staged at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday 11 August.
