Kenyan Premier League champions Tusker FC will use all their
new signings in the planned four days outing to East Africa neighbors Tanzania.
This was revealed by the head coach Sammy Pamzo Omollo in an interview with futaa.com on Wednesday 11 January 2011.
Adapt to pressure
-I am intending to use the friendly matches to expose my new signings ahead of what is expected to be a tough season for us.
-This will give them [new signings] an opportunity to play under pressure and against big teams like Yanga and Simba which is what will happen next season.
-The other older players will however also travel but will start from the bench for the match, clarified Omollo.
Tusker's new signings are Peter Pinches Opiyo, Kenneth Wendo, Andrew Murunga, Fredrick Onyango, George Opiyo, Obadiah Ndege and Patrick Kagogo.
The champions will be chasing three trophies next season. They will be defending the league trophy; they will also have the KPL Top8 and the continental African Club Championships.
