Tusker to enjoy festivities in Tanzania

Back to back Kenyan Premier League Champions Tusker are set to depart the country on Monday 24 December 2012 for Tanzania where they plan to camp for just over three weeks to prepare for continental ties in the 2013.

According to team manager Willis Waliaula, the team will head out with all its players save for those in the Harambee Stars squad who will be playing against Burundi in an African Nations Championship (CHAN) reverse tie on Saturday 5 January 2013.

Leave behind

-We will be leaving on Monday for Tanzania for a series of friendly games. While there we will also visit Zanzibar to feature in the Mapinduzi Cup, he said

-We are certain to spend Christmas’s and New Year in Tanzania as we will return around the 12th of January

-We will however leave behind all the players who are with the national team so that they can concentrate, he added

Cheche

As confirmed by Waliaula, keeper Boniface Oluoch and David Cheche Ochieng who are in the CHAN squad will miss the Tanzania trip.

The full travelling party will be confirmed a day before the trip.
