Turkish giants Galatasary are reported to be making firm step towards signing Senagalese and Newcastle forward Demba Ba ahead of the next season.
turkish-football.com indicated earlier Thursday 14 June that a board meeting at the club [Galatasary] had given the manager the green light to sign the player.
Go ahead
- If the manager wants Demba Ba, we can complete the deal immediately, the club president was quoted as having told reporters.
Galatasary club official Bülent Tulun is also said to have flown to England earlier in the week on a related mission as the club prepare for next season.
The 27 year old’s prospects diminished since the arrival of country mate Pappis Demba Cisse from Bundesliga side Freiburg in a five-and-a-half-year deal last season.
Ba has scored 16 goals in 34 appearances for the Magpies since crossing over from West Ham at the start of the 2011/2012 season.
