Top 8 final referees change effected

The list of officials to take charge of the Top 8 final match pitting Gor Mahia against the holders Ulinzi Stars at the Moi International sports Centre (MISC) Kasarani on Sunday 19 August has been changed following Gor Mahia’s displeasure at the original list.

Doka appointed

Sylvester Kirwa was supposed to be the man at the centre but Gor Mahia claimed the official who hails from Moi’s Bridge had a close association with their opponents, an issue which triggered Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to act and now Nasur Doka has been appointed the centre referee.

Damaris slotted in

Doka, the reigning Kenyan Premier League (KPL) referee of the year, was supposed to serve as the reserve referee as per the original appointment and his place as the reserve will be taken up by Damaris Kimani.

All the other officials remain as previous.
