Blackburn’s central defender Martin Olsson aka Tony Waikwa is a target for Turkish giants Galatasaray
Waikwa, born to a Swedish father and Kenyan mother, is in his second of a five year term with the Rovers who are fighting off relegation from the current 2011/12 English Premier league season.
Determined to leave
According to reports, Tony is said to have been recommended to Galatasaray by former Blackburn great Tugay and the Turkish club is said to have already launched a £6 M (Approx Kshs 792 million) bid for the defender.
The Daily Star says Olsson is determined to leave Ewood Park this summer, even if boss Steve Kean pulls off a Premier League survival miracle.
Twin brother Marcus
The Turkish giants are ready to offer Olsson a three-year deal, and ready to offer him a £50,000 (Approx Kshs 6.6M) a-week contract – twice what he is pocketing at Rovers.
The Swedish national plays at Rovers alongside his twin brother Marcus, a winger, who joined the club in the January transfer window.
