Thumbs up for 'professional' Michel

Florent Motta, Henri Michel
Harambee Stars Team Manager Cpt Joe Birgen has urged Kenyans to give new coach Henri Michel time to build a successful national team.

The Stars boss made his first pick for the upcoming friendly match against South Africa's Bafana Bafana next week, dropping a number of players who would have been expected to make the squad.

Birgen is not surprised by the way Michel is operating, calling the French coach a professional and focussed coach.

Impressed

- The coach is doing his best and has set standards for himself and the team as a whole. He is focussed and wants to do very well.

- His professionalism is top notch and it has rubbed the right way on the players and the people who work with the team. There is a long way to go before we become a very good team though, so I urge Kenyans to give the coach time.

- With their support and help, hopefully, we will do okay, he told Futaa.com.

The Stars are currently in camp preparing for the clash with South Africa.
