Nakuru AllStars had a dream afternoon on Saturday 11 August, winning three points without even having to kick a ball as their weekend opponents Karungu FC failed to show up at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
Closer to the top
The two goal win awarded, moved AllStars closer to the league leaders Agrochemicals FC with 54 points, two short of the leaders after 24 matches and despite the idle afternoon, coach Simeon Mulama feels the players will not be affected negatively.
Mulama, speaking to futaa.com, said he is happy for the three points and undertook to prepare the team well for the next match, against Longonort Horticulture, aiming for another win that could propel his team to top spot.
Happy
-Am happy that we got the points though it could have been sweeter if we had played but all the same I don’t think the players will be affected negatively. Attention now turns to preparing for the next tie, against Longonort and I will be looking for another win, he said.
AllStars play the Naivasha side on Saturday 18 August in Naivasha.
