Thika United downed in local derby

Thika United's preparations for their weekend Tusker Premier League clash with Western Stima have been hit by a friendly match loss.

The Premier League side was handed a 2-1 defeat by their neighbours, Division one outfit Bidco United in a friendly match played at the Thika Stadium on Wednesday 17 October 2012.

The Division one Zone A side took the lead on 37 minutes through Juma Kenga, which meant they went into the half-time break a goal up.

Penalty

Haji Mwachoki equalised for the top flight side from the penalty spot on 57 minutes to restore parity.

Bidco though would not be put down, as they won it late on through Nelson Chieta with just ten minutes left on the clock to secure a result that will lift confidence at the industrialists.

Bidco host Nairobi Stima in a league clash over the weekend with Thika also playing host to the other Stima.
