Thika United FC will be trimming down its squad from the current 33 players to 25 ahead of the 2012 KPL season.
The Brookside sponsored side team coach John Kamau, revealed to futaa.com that he’s on the way to offloading some players to a manageable squad.
-I want to have a manageable squad of probably 23 players, with two under development programme tallying to 25, said Kamau.
two centre-backs
-That means that I am not intending to sign more than two players, since I will maintain most of the players to build a formidable squad for next season. I will only sign two centre backs as Moses Arita is already back in the team, added the tactician.
Thika has already released David Okello who signed for Sofapaka and is also waiting a final word from Tusker FC over Kenneth Wendo’s move.
Last season, Thika finished tenth on the KPL pile with 39 points from 30 matches.
