Thika lad turns pillar in defence

Thika United Coach John Kamau has lavished National under 20 team defender Vincent Otieno for his brilliant display in their last league match against Rangers FC at the Thika Municipal Stadium.

Kamau told futaa.com that the young lad has shown great progress over time and would continually form an integral part of his team.

Impressive talent

-Vincent possesses great talent and he indeed was very impressive in the last match.

-He was our pillar in defence and played very well, in fact he soaked in a lot of pressure during the match from Rangers’ striker.

Thika managed a 4-0 thrashing of their opponents Rangers FC adding on to their first leg 6-0 victory at the Nyayo Stadium.

Thika is now placed fourth on the standing while Rangers is bottom. 

The Brookside Boys next face SoNy Sugar away on Sunday 23 September.
