Goal raised eyebrows
But with minutes added on in the game played at the City Stadium from 1000hrs, Sharks scored a late one to win the game 2-1.
That particular goal raised eyebrows from some quarters with Coast United Director/Chairman Ali Hassan Tito stating Sharks were ‘helped’ to the win.
Following suit in complaining over the same is National Executive Committee (NEC) Member for Coast Hussein Terry who arrived back in the country with the National team Harambee Stars in the wee of Tuesday 19 June.
Premier League Coaches
- I have been briefed on that game and it is almost definite that the goal scored was from an offside position, he said to futaa.com
- I have talked to some Premier League Coaches who watched that game and even the Kariobangi Sharks Coach and they all admit that the goal was indeed scored from an offside position
- We all want to promote football. But this can never happen when officiating is not clean. With biased officiating such as this, we can never achieve that
I have asked them to take action
-I have talked to the head of Technical Committee (Elly Mukolwe) and Chair of Leagues and Competitions (Doris Petra) and I have asked them to take action against the referee who handled that game. He needs to be punished.
Kariobangi Sharks are top of the 20-team Zone A with 40 points after playing 18 rounds while Coast United is 16th with 18 points.
