On Saturday 15 September 2012,
the 14-team Tanzanian Vodacom Premier League 2012/13
season will kicks off with seven games lined up across various venues.
Away game
Defending Champions Simba SC, home to Kenyan defender Pascal Ochieng will kick off their title defense with a game against African Lyon as the runners up Azam FC face off with Kagera Sugar in an away tie.
Jerry Santos’ Coastal Union will start off with an away game against JKT Mgambo.
Community Shield
Young Africans (Yanga) will start off with an away game at Tanzania Prisons. Ruvu Stars – Ruvu Shooting, Toto Africans – JKT Oljoro FC, Polisi Morogoro – Mtibwa Sugar are the other ties lined up.
To set the mood to the season kick off on Saturday, Simba SC and Azam FC will face off in a Community Shield tie set for Tuesday 11 September at the National Stadium in Dar.
