English Premier League side swansea has appointed Michael Laudrup as the new manager.

Laudrup makes first move into British football following the appointment.

The arrival of the Denmark legend marked the end of a thorough search of candidates who could succeed Brendan Rodgers at the Liberty Stadium.

Laudrup's agent Bayram Tutumlu and former Newcastle United and Real Mallorca defender Marcelino, arrived at the Liberty Stadium on Friday 14 June to finalize the contract details.

As he awaits to be unveiled officially, Laudrup is keen to manage the Premier League and also revive a coaching career that hit problems at his previous two clubs, Spartak Moscow and Real Mallorca.
