Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has agreed terms with the
Anfield side despite being strongly linked with big-money move away this
season.
According to the club official website (www.liverpoolfc.com), the Uruguayan is poised to sign an improved deal followed by an announcement by the club.
Pay increment
The striker has lately been linked with a move to Juventus after the Serie A champions' attempts to lure Edinson Cavani from Napoli appeared to stall.
Suarez signed a five-and-a-half year contract when he joined Liverpool from Ajax in January 2011 but the new agreement is set to increase his pay in line with the club’s highest earners such as Steven Gerrard, Pepe Reina and Glen Johnson.
Liverpool has claimed that Suarez is expected to sign the contract soon which will then be formally announced by the club.
