Stars' winger set for SA trials

Harambee Stars and Thika United winger Clifton Miheso is set to attend a four weeks' trials period with South Africa side SuperSport FC after receiving an invite.

The official club site thikaunitedfc.com confirmed that the youthful player who recently represented the country in the Africa Nations Championships[CHAN] will honour the invite.

Preparations underway

-The youngster got the invite from South Africa top tier club Supersport fc, and preparations are underway to facilitate the call. We as a club are very happy and hopeful for the boy and we wish him all the best, club Team Manager George Maina told the site.

Miheso netted four times last season as the Brookside Boys fought to a fifth place finish in the Tusker Premier League behind champions Tusker FC, Gor Mahia. AFC Leopards and 2009 champions Sofapaka FC.

He becomes the third player from Thika United to get an invite from the club after Charles Bruno and Francis Kahata.
