Kenya’s national soccer team Harambee Stars will resume training on Thursday 27 December ahead of their home CHAN qualifiers’ return leg tie against Burundi on January 5th 2013.
Stars, who lost 1-0 to the Swallows in the first leg encounter, reported to their residential camp at MISC-Kasarani on Wednesday, but broke camp the same day due to low turn-out.
Low quorum
According to Coach James Nandwa, the team will regroup next week after the Christmas celebrations.
-We were forced to break camp the same day because the players’ turn-out was low.
-By the time we were naming the squad, most of them had already travelled for Christmas holidays. We will now re-assemble next Thursday, said Nandwa to futaa.com.
A total number of 24 players are expected to report to training camp at Kasarani on Thursday in the afternoon.
