Gor Mahia forward Dan Sserenkuma was named the Man of the Match after the team’s 2-2 draw with 2008 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Mathare United on Friday 24 August at the Nyayo National Stadium.
The former Nairobi City Stars player, scored a brace as Gor came from two goals behind to hold Mathare and was a constant threat to the Mathare back four, was awarded with a DSTV Drifta after the match.
Disappointment
He was however disenchanted with the final result saying that their plan was to secure a victory.
-We are very disappointed with the outcome since we wanted to take the maximum points, Sserenkuma said after the match.
This is the fifth time so far this season the Ugandan has been named MVP.
After the result Gor is still sixth in the KPL log with 34 points from 21 games while Mathare is now eighth with 27 points from 23 matches.
