SS Assad leap past Shanzu

After weekend matches played across the venues, SS Assad from Ukunda leaped Shanzu United to top the south coast Provincial Zone A league. 

 Division One

Assad skinned Rhino 4-0 at Pangani on Sunday 30 September 2012 to take their points tally to 37, one more than second placed Shanzu United.

The podium position has been a preserve for Shanzu United since the league kicked off in March this year.

-We are determined to break the dominance of Mombasa clubs in the provincial league. We eye the Nationwide Division One league next season, said Assad Team Manager Habibi Vumbi

Play off

Assad plays their next match on 14 September 2012 against Miritini Combined at their slaughterhouse at Mzimuni ground.

Coast, Nairobi, Eastern and Central Province will participate in the play off and produce two teams to join Eastern Zone Division One league next season.
