The South Coast Provincial cliffhanger between hosts Magongo United and Kingston Voi played today Sunday 28 October 2012 at Changamwe ground was abandoned ten minutes to time after the visitors disputed a penalty awarded to Magongo.
By the time of the abandonment Magongo were leading 1-0 courtesy of a 15th minute strike by Emanuel Bagira. Trouble started in the 80th minute when a Kingstone defender handled the ball inside the box and the center referee pointed for a spot kick.
Kingstone players and officials bitterly contested the decision and refused the spot kick to be taken. The referee was forced to call off the match after waiting in vain for the game to resume.
Magongo are placed fourth on the log with 37 points, one point more than second placed Kingstone Voi.
