Soon to be depleted Bandari set for shopping spree

Bandari Team
Bandari will by new players to ensure their return to the Kenyan Premier League, coach Rishadi Shedu has said.

The dockers were relegated from the KPL at season's end after failing to get away from the lower reaches of the table for most of the season, eventually finishing behind City Stars on goal difference.

A return to the nationwide divisions is thus in line for them and with key players likely to leave for greener pastures, the club will have to re-in force to compete.

Tanzanian goalkeeper Ivo Mapunda is the leading name among a group of players rumoured to be inching toward the exit door.

Need to buy

-We will need to buy if we are to ensure we return to the top flight immediately.

-There is no news regarding players moving in and out of the club, but there will be interest in our players, as they are very good and play at a high level.

-If they leave, we will have to look and search for some good replacements, so that we can compete well and make a quick return to the KPL, Shedu told Futaa.com.

Mapunda is rumoured to be in talks regarding a move to Gor Mahia.
