The millers have decided on the Gusii venue in Kisii town as an alternative, during their stay away from home, as their Awendo base is still up for renovation.
Mathare United await SoNy in their first Kenyan Premier League match of the season on Sunday 12 February and with the date fast approaching, the club will move to Gusii to commence preparations.
According to Zico, the club will also look for a friendly match of any sort to help their acclimatisation.
Need to settle
-We have to move to Gusii and start preparing for the Mathare game which is now very close.
-There are many things we need to do, but acclimatisation is very important for us, so that we can feel like we are at home.
-I am in the process of arranging a friendly match with some local sides so that we can atleast have some preparation before Sunday, Zico told Futaa.com.
SoNy will play atleast four home games in Gusii before their Awendo ground is re-opened in three months.
