Sony chops down Stima at Awendo

After ninth months, Sony Sugar returned to their home ground - the Awendo Green Stadium for a Kenyan Premier League game against Western Stima which ended 2-0 in their favor.

The game played on Saturday 25 August 2012 from 1500hrs was the first league game at the venue since they last used the surface on Saturday 26 November 2011 against Mathare United in a final 2011 season game.

Marwa Chamberi opened the scores four minutes into the game when he nodded in Enock Agwanda’s trademark long throw in.

Eighth

The game had to wait till the final minutes of the first half when home boy Samuel daddy Onyango connected to another Agwanda assist on 40 minutes to double the scores for the home side.

The results that returns Sony to winning ways sent the side up eight in the 16-team log with 28 points to come within two points of seventh placed Western Stima. Both teams have played 23 games.
